BAM (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine) graduate from Kottakkal Ayurveda College with First Class and First Rank in 1978. Had one year training under Vaidyaratnam E.T.Neelakantan Moos. Later passed MD in Kayachikitsa in 1981 and was selected by KPSC with First Rank. Worked as the Principal of Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram for 5 years and retired as Director of Ayurveda Medical Education by 2010. Served as the State Programme Manager, NRHM (National Rural Health) for 2 years. Government of kerala awarded Good Service Entry in 2009. Was the Principal of Amritha School of Ayurveda for 7 years. He was the CCIM Member (Central Council of Indian Medicine) New Delhi for 10 long years. Was also a member in Scientific Advisory Board of CCRAS, New Delhi for 9 years. Government of India awarded Best Teacher Award in 2016. Government of Kerala awarded Best Doctor Award in 2019 and was also Guide for 62 Post graduate Thesis works. More than 35 years of teaching and clinical experience. Visited 13 countries including USA, Canada Germany, Italy, Russia for propagating Ayurveda.
